Polypropylene Labels on Roll

Polypropylene labels (PP foil) are resistant against almost all organic solvents and oils. They are also very resistant against most acids and bases. These labels can be used indoors and out, where they can withstand temperatures from -20°C to + 100°C.

What are the properties of polypropylene labels?

Polypropylene is a very robust plastic that easily withstands various external influences. Temperatures from -15 °C to 80 °C can harm the material just as little as moisture, dust and dirt.

A special highlight of polypropylene labels is the convincing chemical resistance of the material. Organic solvents, greases and even acids and alkalis are no problem for PP labels, making them the ideal labelling solution for chemical labelling.

In addition, transparent PP labels have a highly clear surface that no other plastic can offer. This is a great advantage, especially for the protection of less robust labels.

Where are polypropylene labels used?

The high resistance of PP labels qualifies them for numerous areas and applications. For example, labels made of polypropylene can easily be used for labelling chemicals in laboratories and teaching facilities. In combination with a chemical-resistant imprint, the labels remain permanently legible and provide the greatest possible labelling security.

Another popular application of polypropylene labels is as a protective laminate in various fields. Especially for less robust materials such as paper or polyethylene, protective laminates made of polypropylene are a good way to increase the resistance of the labels. The highly clear surface of the PP labels guarantees legibility and reliably keeps dirt, dust and moisture away from your labels.

How do I print PP labels?

Our polypropylene labels on a roll are suitable for printing using the thermal transfer process, which gives you sharp contours and first-class printing results. The ink is melted onto the label material by a so-called thermal transfer ribbon, so that your prints can convince above all with their durability.

For printing polypropylene labels, we recommend that you use a durable resin ribbon. With our high quality polypropylene labels in combination with a high quality resin ribbon you will always get optimal printing results and mark your equipment properly!
