Transportation labels for manual inscription: for the labeling of lithium-ion and lithium-polymer batteries (UN number 3480). The white labels with black imprint mandatory since 01/01/2017 for all shipped goods, which have small lithium cells or lithium batteries in them, according to special regulation 188. The transportation label is in accordance to UN-number 3480 and conforms to guidelines including ADR, RID, ADN, IMDG, IATA and GGVSEB.
It is your duty as the sender of goods to ensure that the regulations regarding the transportation of lithium-metal and lithium-polymer batteries are met. Furthermore, the sender of the goods must be up to date regarding the current laws and regulations. Please note: as of 01/01/2019, the use of the transportation labels will become mandatory. As of 01.01.2023, it is no longer necessary to enter a telephone number. Already printed labels may be used until 31.12.2026.
